Our partner and client feedback

Karen worked with a member of my team to deliver a Mentoring and Coaching in Youth Work programme. From the start, Karen was approachable, friendly and established the foundations for a productive working relationship. Karen used clear tools to identify priorities to work on, and continuously monitor development. She set SMART objectives to work towards in between sessions and provided a range of accessible and interactive resources. I have noticed significant improvements in time management, organisation of workload and paperwork, proactively identifying and troubleshooting barriers, and general Youth Work knowledge. Karen also used her extensive knowledge to signpost to further development opportunities, so my team member now has a clear direction of what to do next to keep flourishing in their career. Our experience was positive from beginning to end – thank you!

I have worked with Catherine for many years on a variety of community heritage projects, including projects focusing on involving young people and elders. I have always found Catherine to be creative and innovative in finding ways to engage people with the projects, and hardworking and reliable with regards to delivering projects.

Working with The Community & Heritage CIC has been a brilliant experience for HOME and for myself. We have really enjoyed curating workshops for deaf young people to ensure that they experience all that HOME and the arts has to offer. The staff at The Community & Heritage CIC have been so supportive and are always enthusiastic at the workshops we put on, never hesitating to get involved and help keep the young people engaged. It has been a really wonderful experience, getting to know the young people and seeing them thrive in our creative workshops.

I have known Karen from the Community & Heritage CIC for just over two years through the work that she has done in a freelance capacity for the British Deaf History Society and my role as their Museum Accreditation Mentor.

During the time Karen has worked with BDHS, she has developed and implemented a successful Business Development Plan and Volunteer Strategy, undertaken governance training for the museum Board of Trustees, more than doubled the charity’s income through fund raising to £264,000 raised in 18 months and led an organisational resilience programme.

I find Karen to be incredibly hard working and strategically focussed. The BDHS has been transformed in the short period that Karen has worked for them and this is in large part due to her hard work and commitment where she has gone over and above what was originally expected of her role.

I would highly recommend Karen for future projects as I know that she gives everything her full commitment and energy and is not only able to see the bigger picture but also how added value can be created and incorporated into everything she does.

The team from The Community & Heritage CIC are highly experienced and capable professionals characterised by their integrity, creativity, high standards, and want the best outcomes for the communities of interest, place, and social identity they work for.

They have project managed a quite brilliant programme of work growing confidence, motivation and further education/employment readiness among Deaf, NEET young people and in some instances participants have had learning difficulties too.

They have broadened horizons, built skills, and opened doors to a range of opportunities to secure brighter futures.

Our first thought was one of gratitude, that was our first impression that someone has put together a parcel for us. The quality and quantity is first class, and I thank you one again.

I would first like to say a big thank you for considering me for this Heritage Hamper. The contents were all things I could use during the Covid lockdown – and I did!. Thanks once again.

What a lovely surprise. It’s always nice to give, but it’s even nicer to receive. It really made my day!

Thankyou so much for the lovely hamper we received. It was very much appreciated! We have been in lockdown since March and we are still in lockdown through ill health. It was a lovely surprise we were nominated.
