Our partner and client feedback
During the time Karen has worked with BDHS, she has developed and implemented a successful Business Development Plan and Volunteer Strategy, undertaken governance training for the museum Board of Trustees, more than doubled the charity’s income through fund raising to £264,000 raised in 18 months and led an organisational resilience programme.
I find Karen to be incredibly hard working and strategically focussed. The BDHS has been transformed in the short period that Karen has worked for them and this is in large part due to her hard work and commitment where she has gone over and above what was originally expected of her role.
I would highly recommend Karen for future projects as I know that she gives everything her full commitment and energy and is not only able to see the bigger picture but also how added value can be created and incorporated into everything she does.
They have, at times, needed to support us to make hard decisions or deal with difficult situations, including the coronavirus pandemic and an unexpected move of the collections to a new location. Their support even included an all-hands-on-deck approach to arrange the move!
They are able to explain complex concepts to staff and trustees who are new to funding applications in ways that make it accessible – this is particularly important for the Deaf community, who make up the entirety of our Board of Trustees. They can adapt and treat both Deaf and hearing clients equally – which is a rarer asset than it should be.
I would heartily recommend them to anybody looking for skilled, professional, experienced people who know the funding landscape intimately and who go the extra mile. Their knowledge and experience have been a real asset to our organisation, and they’re a joy to work with too.
For Manchester Deaf Centre they have project managed a quite brilliant programme of work growing confidence, motivation and further education/employment readiness among Deaf, NEET young people and in some instances participants have had learning difficulties too.
They have broadened horizons, built skills, and opened doors to a range of opportunities to secure brighter futures. What they have achieved has been fantastic and we wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.
We’ve had lots of lovely feedback for our Memory Lane Heritage Hampers – here’s a selection
What a lovely thought! Really made my day!! Never been looked after as well as this. The contents were lovely and my bird house is being painted. All credit to you for being such caring people. Thank you.
I would first like to say a big thank you for considering me for this Heritage Hamper. The contents were all things I could use during the Covid lockdown – and I did!. Thanks once again.
Thankyou so much for the lovely hamper we received. It was very much appreciated! We have been in lockdown since March and we are still in lockdown through ill health. It was a lovely surprise we were nominated.
